Week 1: Just Ask

(posted by Jeanne on 9-28-2010)

Love Leap I:  Oh, that You would bless me indeed
Love Lift 1:  Just Ask

“Oh, that You would bless me indeed,” seems like a lot to ask. To request this blessing, first and foremost for ourselves is radical, and for some of us, almost impossible. It was for me. There was a time when I would’ve honestly said, “I’d rather die.” To recognize that it’s my turn, and always has been, changed my life more than any other single shift in perspective.

Week 2: Choose Joy

(posted by Jeanne on 9-27-2010)

Love Leap 1: Oh, that You would bless me indeed
Love Lift 2: Say “Yes”

Joy is a beautiful thing when we choose it. Untapped, however, it’s like an unopened gift that sits in a warehouse, gathering dust, unappreciated and wasted. I have an image of the toys on the Island of Misfits in the animated movie, Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer, or our dog, Bella, who sat for too long in a cage at a local shelter.  In the book, The Story of Jabez, Bruce Wilkinson beautifully convinces us of the truth of abundance. Week 3: Give Thanks

(posted by Jeanne on 9-26-2010)

Love Leap 1: Oh, that you would bless me indeed.
Love Lift 3: Give Thanks

To accept a blessing and the joy it contains is to say, “Thank you” and to pass up a blessing is to say, “No thank you.” In order to embrace and release a blessing we first must acknowledge it. When we choose joy and give thanks we set off “Love Works” and activate a cord of karmic flow that connects today’s acts of love with tomorrow’s.  Read more »

Week 4: Stand Our Ground

(posted by Jeanne on 9-25-2010)

Love Leap II: Enlarge my territory
Love Lift 4: Stand Our Ground

Once we are bold enough to ask for a blessing, it behooves us to accept and preserve it. This concept isn’t meant to encourage a lack of generosity, but rather a self-preserving process of discernment. Many people mistakenly associate living in love with the surrender of boundaries. The opposite is true: Read more »

Prayer of Jabez Orientation

(posted by Jeanne on 5-22-2010)

Prayer of Jabez Boot Camp

For me the five lines of this one sentence prayer serve as five leaps of faith or Love Leaps that help me connect to a ZipLine of Love. While these five lines represented “Big Faith” for me, I was still missing day-in and day-out “Pocket Faith.” I needed something to reach for in those “Flea bite” moments when I lose perspective and faith in God’s will. I added three Love Lifts under each of these Love Leaps to serve as Pocket Faith and ways to connect daily to the ZipLine. The Prayer of Jabez Boot Camp was designed to cover one Love Lift a week for fifteen weeks.  These Love Lifts are what I reach for when I misstep and need to reconnect. They are practical, tangible and lead directly and quite naturally to a Fun-Loving Life.

Prayer of Jabez
Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory,
that Your hand would be with me,
and that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain!
(1 Chronicles 4:10 NKJV)
