Believing is Seeing …

We believe because not to believe is like missing the parade. Some of us ask, “Why” when presented with an unlikely outcome or opportunity while others ask “Why not.” Some of us are raised with rose-colored glasses while others decide, somewhere along the way, to trade our black and white set in for a rosier pair.  And some people prefer to stay inside our carefully constructed houses of refute with shades drawn as endless possibilities and miracles march by.

The Good Neighbor

Last week I drove away from our family home for the last time and waved to its newest little resident standing at the edge of the driveway. I said a little prayer that the house and neighborhood would nurture her the way it had us… with a warm embrace. Through the rearview mirror, I watched the sun set on our children’s childhoods. Synchronized Living

Most of us know people who appear to glide through life. Before one door closes in front of them another three fly open. They know what to do and when to do it. I began to wonder if these people were following an invisible path pointing them in the right direction.
